Listening

Connecting

Leading

I believe good governance starts with listening — really listening — to the people I serve. By connecting with neighbors and building trust across our diverse community, we can lead together with transparency, accountability, and heart. That’s the leadership I promise to bring to District 1.

My Vision

Cindy for Centennial aims to bring people together for meaningful change in our community.

We are committed to empowering individuals through action.

Key Points

Goals

Fostering inclusivity and participation.

Actions

Promoting awareness and education.

Impact

Creating sustainable community programs.

Affordability

Too many families, young people and seniors are struggling to keep up with the rising cost cost of living in our community. I believe Centennial should be a city where people can afford to live, raise a family, and retire with dignity while also thriving.

Centennial is experiencing rising housing costs, and the city council has an important role to

play in ensuring our community remains affordable for families, seniors, and young people.

While the city does not build housing directly, we can shape policies that make attainable

and affodable housing possible.

I support working to create a range of housing options -from starter homes to senior living. We

should also explore incentives for developers who include affordable housing, protect exisiting neighborhoods from displacement, and make sure housing is connected to safe transportation and local businesses.

Centennial should address homelessness and crime by focusing on root cause\s

and real solutions. Homelessness is often tied to the lack of affordable housing, access to mental health, and economic insecurity. I believe the city should strengthen partnerships with service providers and regional partners to expand supportive housing, connect people with treatment, job opportunities, and ensure that every resident has a path to stability.

Public Safety

When it comes to crime, the most effective strategy is prevention. This means investing in safe public spaces, youth programs, and strong community-police relationships built on trust and

accountability. We can improve public safety by ensuring our neighborhoods are well-lit,

walkable and designed to foster community connection, while also making sure law enforcement has the resources to focus on serious crime as well as community engagement.

Sustainability

I believe protecting our planet starts right here in our own community. On city council, I will champion policies that reduce pollution, expand clean energy, and invest in sustainable infrastructure so future generations inherit a healthier, more resilient Centennial, Together we can create a city that not only grows, but thrives in harmony with our environment.

About Cindy

Hi there! I'm Cindy Sandhu. I'm running for Centennial City Council, District 1. I'm truly dedicated to this community and I've spent my life building and supporting community. I am a mom to three young kids and a passionate advocate for future generations. I am excited to bring my energy and experiences to work for you.

I was born and raised in Centennial. Growing up in the Liberty Hill neighborhood and attending Peabody, Newton and Arapahoe High School. I love Centennial for the neighborhoods, the sense of community and the plentiful open spaces. I am raising my family here in my beloved community so that my kids can enjoy the same quality of life, neighborhoods, community and open spaces that made my childhood so special.

I have over 30 years of experience working as a volunteer and serving my community. As a young teenager, I would walk to the neighborhood nursing home and play bingo. As a CU Boulder college grad, I served in the Peace Corps for two and a half years as an environmental volunteer in the Dominican Republic. I am fluent in Spanish and English as a result of my service in the Peace Corps. With the previous Trump administrations separation of families at the border, I learned about Casa de Paz and spent many nights feeding recently released immigrants, helping them to contact their families and supporting them through DIA as they flew off to be reunited with their families.

For the past 8 years, I have volunteered my time to other political candidates. Helping with Get Out the Vote efforts, canvassing and writing postcards.

With my love for this community, my experience volunteering and my knowledge of political campaigns, I'm ready to represent District 1, Centennial.

With values of transparency, good governance, fairness and community we can bring forth a bright future where everyone feels safe, welcomed and connected.
