About Cindy

Passionate about Centennial and her values

Cindy was born and raised in Centennial, CO. Growing up in Liberty Hill, Cindy watched Centennial become the city it is today. She went through Littleton Public Schools, attending Peabody, Newton and Arapahoe before graduating with a double major in Sociology and Anthropology from CU Boulder.

Cindy has always been deeply involved in serving her community. In the early days, she would walk to the nursing facility on Arapahoe Road near the old King Soopers and play bingo with the residents. After college, she served as an environmental volunteer for the Peace Corps in the Dominican Republic for 2 and a half years.

Upon returning home and starting a family, Cindy settled her family in Centennial so her kids could grow up in the same city that she did.

As her kids grew, so did her understanding of the world and the work we all must do to make it a better place.

In 2016, Cindy started meeting with local candidates, meeting her elected officials and helped to lead an Indivisible group. Cindy also served on the board of House District 38, Democrats, for 2 years.

Cindy has 3 kids; aged 7, 9 and 11. She has made politics part of her daily life. Values inform our politics, and so as much as it drives her kids crazy, every day and circumstance is a new lesson for her kids on how politics played a part and how we can do and be better.
